The Rev. Steve Mitchell has energetically served as Pastor of MorningStar
Presbyterian church since July of 2006 bringing with him thirty years of pastoral
experience. He has a Masters Degree in Divinity from Princeton Theological
Seminary. Previously he has served pastorates in Pennsylvania, West Virginia,
Florida and Alabama. He and his wife Lynn are proud parents of three children who
range in age from High school to early career.

Marti serves as director of the adult choir, the youth choir, the handbell choir and
oversees the "Fifth of Jazz" 5th Sunday instrumental ensemble. Marti brings with
her 35 years of musical experience working in churches of various denominations.
She received her degree nd training at Coe College, in Cedar Rapids, Iowa, and New
England Conservatory in Boston. Marti is also an accomplished flutist, and plays
principal flute with the Charlotte Philharmonic Orchestra.
